Family Outcomes

The Educare Learning Network’s Logic Model consists of a variety of services and strategies and short-term indicators designed to measure a variety of long-term outcomes for Educare students and their families, as well as for each Educare school and its local community.

Family Outcomes

At Educare, strong, supportive, culturally-responsive staff-parent relationships are the primary vehicle for all interventions with families.   We meet families where they are, recognizing, respecting, and building upon their strengths as well as their hopes and dreams for their children.

Educare staff, including both Family Support Staff and classroom teachers, use a number of strategies to cultivate these staff-parent relationships.  These strategies include, but are not limited to:the development of a Family Partnership Agreement (& other goal-setting documents), Family/Child Reviews, Parent-Staff Conferences and Classroom meetings, Parent Support & Education Groups/Activities, Referrals and Linkages (to mental health and other community services), and Home Visits.   

In addition, the Annual Parent Interview is administered to parents each Fall (or upon enrollments) and the Spring Parent Survey is administered each Spring to assess the following outcomes:

Family as Lifelong Nurturer and Educator

  • Positive parent-child relationships 
  • Increased parent support for child’s learning and social-emotional development

Family Connections to Peers, School, and Community

  • Parents have increased social capital, positive support systems, and are connected to peers, community leaders, and resources
  • Positive parent staff relationships
  • Strong school-family partnerships

Family as Lifelong Advocate and Leader

  • Increased parent leadership and advocacy skills on behalf of their child’s education
  • Families make informed decisions and are ready to navigate K-12 system
  • Families are advocates for high-quality early learning and education in their schools and communities

Family Well-being and Development

  • Decreased parental stress and increased resiliency
  • Increased family well-being through gains in social-emotional, mental and physical health
