Chapter 2 – Entering and retrieving data about children and classrooms

The main survey site for the Educare National Evaluation is https://survey.fpg.unc.edu/educareis/

It allows LEPs to:

  1. enter and connect children, staff, and classrooms
  2. complete the school information form
  3. enter child assessment data (PLS, PPVT, DECA)
  4. enter classroom observation data (ITERS-3, PreK CLASS)
  5. retrieve reports

This chapter focuses mainly on items 1 and 2. Our network depends on LEPs to enter complete information about Educare children and staff into the dataset, and share some basic school-level information such as number of slots, enrollment, and number of classrooms.  We also need class rosters for every fall and spring, so children are connected to classrooms and teachers.  Family engagement staff are also connected to classrooms and/or children.  These connections allow us to make the most of all the data we collect. 

Remember: you need a UNC ONYEN in order for FPG to grant permission to use the site.
